1/29/2018 Easter Seals Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain — Wiggly Worm Sensory Processing class, a unique class for children ages 3-6 and their caregivers, taught by a trained occupational therapist to help parents learn specific techniques and tools to help children manage their sensory needs and responses to various sensory in-put.

 

4/18/2018 CycleAbility - The 4th Annual CycleAbility iCanBike camp is a week-long summer camp where volunteers help 40 kids with special needs to learn to ride a two-wheeled bike.

 

4/18/2018 The Granite School District’s Autism Parent Group - provides monthly trainings throughout the school year to approximately 20 families who have school-aged students (preschool, elementary, and secondary) with autism spectrum disorder.

 

5/9/2018 National Abilities Center - provided scholarships to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their family members to participate in NAC adaptive adventure programs. These programs include both on and off-campus activities such as indoor/outdoor rock climbing, river-rafting, paddle boarding, camping, and more

 

5/16/2018 U of U Feeding Clinic - Provided ongoing support for the U of U Interdisciplinary Pediatric Feeding Disorders Clinic, which has been providing in-person and telehealth assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding problems to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) for three years.

 

6/13/2018 ASSERT Utah State University - Created and modified educational programs for the 17 children with autism in the program.

 

6/27/2018 University of Utah, School of Medicine – A computerized parent/caregiver questionnaire designed to identify treatment targets among common mental health and medical.

 

7/2/2018 Columbus Community Center - Purchased curriculum which will be used in their new 2-year Transition Academy that will launch in January 2020.

 

8/14/2018 Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital – Provided funding to purchase sensory toolkits to benefit children on the autism spectrum. These toolkits will help children from becoming overstimulated and agitated in a highly stimulating environment such as a fast-paced ED or hospital.

 

10/17/2018 USA STARS of SLC - Judo for individuals with ASD to help foster team spirit, a positive self-image, positive peer relationships, improve coordination and motor development, positive sportsmanship and perseverance.
