About the event

Dr. Leslie P. Francis Ph.D., J.D., holds joint appointments as the Alfred C. Emery professor of law and professor of philosophy, as well as adjunct appointments in Family and Preventive Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Political Science at the University of Utah. She is the director of the University of Utah Center for Law and Biomedical Sciences.  Dr. Francis has served in numerous national professional organizations and authored multiple books and papers in the areas of disability law and ethics, privacy and data use, justice, and bioethics. She also regularly provides pro bono representation for people who are the subject of guardianship through the signature program of the Utah State courts.
