Utah Miss Amazing ~ March 21st for Ages 5-19, March 28th for Ages 20+

Utah Miss Amazing's mission is to celebrate the abilities of girls and women with disabilities and each year we hold an event to help us accomplish this mission. At the event, girls and women with disabilities from all over the state gather together to celebrate their unique abilities. Utah Miss Amazing creates a loving and accepting environment and focus on building our participants confidence, self-esteem, life skills, and self-advocacy skills all in a fun and interactive way. A quick overview of how the event works is the following: when the participant first arrives, they will be given a t-shirt to change into, they will then meet their buddy, a volunteer who will help them throughout the remainder of the event. The participant will then complete an interview, have lunch, and get dolled up for the Final Show with help from our professional hair and make up team. They will then be part of our final show where they will show and/or tell the audience about their favorite past-time during our Passion Presentations, and introduce themselves to the audience in evening wear. 

This event is open to girls and women with disabilities ages 5 and older. All participants are awarded a trophy and crown and one person from each age group is selected to represent her peers throughout the year and is given the opportunity to attend the event at a National level in Nashville in August. The only entrance fee for participants is five cans or boxes of food; these items will be donated to a local food pantry after the event.
